Bio

Tayebwa David alias “TABZY”, born 22nd August 1993 is a skilled Musician, Music Industry professional & Tutor, Ethno-musicologist, Music Advocate, Music Copyright Expert, Music Administration Consultant and Music-preneur from Uganda. From Rukungiri District in South Western Uganda, a residence that has different societies (Bakiga, Banyankole and Bahororo) is where his musical journey started as a young and enthusiastic communal performer who later turned the talent to a profession. In 2014, he joined Makerere University for a Music graduate program (Bachelors of Arts in Music) where he majored in Music Business, Music Administration, Law and Community Music.He later joined WIPO Worldwide Academy for Intellectual Property, Copyright Management and Collective Management. Currently, he is the Director of Publishing and Royalties Management for Voices and Beats Records, Founder of Opus Music - Africa (an A&R, Publishing, Sound library and Digital Music Rights Management Firm) and the lead architect/co-founder of a centralized music marketplace for trade in music royalties and other music based assets called Music Royalties Exchange.
